Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor:It has been quite some time since I have written to an Editor, but the
"Parking Nazis" (#36, p.6) caused me to respond, since I have seen these
huge vehicles take up more than their fair space in town. I certainly agree
that Boone¹s downtown parking environment is less than substantial, much
less suitable to tourists and locals - Who can do everything in an hour?! -
but that is an entirely different issue.
The writer of this letter is clearly in the wrong. S/he is clearly taking
up two parking spaces: the truck¹s back tire and rear end are a third of the
way into the adjacent parking space, where another car clearly cannot park,
i.e., it is not simply "over the line" as the writer maintains. Moreover;
there are only two more spaces between this truck and the red car behind it
(not five as is written). Perhaps in the future you should not include
pictures to make this writer¹s point completely invalid.
I am all for the "free press," and have enjoyed your magazine for a couple
of years now. However, freedom comes with a price, namely telling the truth
without false claims and prejudice. When describing the many pitfalls of
Boone, hopefully in the future you will rely on fairness.
Sincerely,

Ken’s response: I am very happy to hear your car that runs on water. Please take another look at the pictures, My rear tire is on the line and there are 6 empty parking spaces directly behind my truck” not 2, not 3. SIX! Beside you should feel good about walking past my 16 MPG (Highway) truck.
James’s Response: “Ok, First screw all the huge tucks driving around this redneck town. I swear the only thing that pisses me off more is when they don’t use their turn signals.
My comment on the End of an Error Story in one word is unbelievable. I never read this paper and now I know why. I was bored waiting at a restaurant for my dinner and decided to occupy myself with some reading. This article is not thought provoking or cleverly written, so please don’t pat yourself on the back for getting a response to it. In fact I am responding to it because I found it completely ignorant, non factual, non tolerant ( which liberals preach as their mantra ), and metaphorically stupid. After having to get thru one long and torturous paragraph with multiple run on sentences, I still couldn’t figure out his point. I do agree with him not putting his name at the end of that article to avoid the embarrassment of such a heinously written piece of #!*&@#!!. Do us a favor and save the world from your poor journalism with such a hate slant. I find it amazing that when the stock market was hot in the Clinton/Lewinski era that we did not see any articles that said Wall Street feeds on misery, oppression, pollution, and represented what was wrong with the country. What we heard was the it was a great economy with a great stock market that was really the result of cooked books under a democratic President that was convicted of purgery under oath and was stripped of his law license for ethical and illegal wrong doings. Now those are facts, but it looks like that this rag of a paper wouldnt have the guts to print this editorial because its head is stuck so far up the ass of the democratic symbol that it will allow any hack to write an article as long as it is a hit piece against anything that is considered traditional family values. These values are evil to liberals because they hold people accountable for their actions. Liberals hate responsibility unless its wealth redistribution, killing babies in the name of freedom, and keeping people dependent on the government. If I was black I would be pissed that I should be locked into a party that in 40 plus years still thinks a black man should only run as a democrat and will be torn to pieces and destroyed if he runs as a Republican. As if only Prominent Black men should be democrat and if your are black republican you are not prominent, but I guess you have lost your mind. So much for tolerance and other point of views. Hopefully the editor will have a little bit more discression next time he lets some ghost writer to spew factless hate speech, for the good of their own political agenda. And that really would be an end to Error.
Sincerely,
